Pics from yesterday's kettlebell workout AFTER the squat and press routine. There were some impressive numbers on the squat and press. Look forward to the CrossFit Total next Monday! Good job everyone.
Snatch work
Why snatch?
-The snatch delivers more power output than ANY other weightlifting movement.
- The snatch requires more control of an object moving in space.
- The snatch is safer than the clean and jerk because there is less load and stress on tendons and ligaments.
- The snatch is explosive and motivating when done correctly!

More Olympic Lifting 101
After a good warmup, we will spend about 20 minutes on the snatch and snatch progressions. Don't get upset if it doesn't come easily, it is a highly technical movement. About the time smoke begins rolling out of your ears, we will hit "minute pullups."
Do 1 pullup the first minute. Do 2 pullups the second minute. Continue this pattern until you cannot complete the pullups within the minute.
