Rest day.
A big thanks to everyone that showed up for Fight Gone Bad on Saturday. It was nice to see some new faces for the workout. Shilo ended up on top with a score of 302 and she walked away with Billy's Favorite Moves. Good job everyone.

In case you missed Friday's post, we did deadlifts and a Tabata intervals of squats and ring dips. We had 6 people make personal records on their deadlifts. Basically, everyone that showed up was able to improve upon an older record. In fact, there were several people during the week that made significant improvements on pullups, Fran times, reduced scales, etc. This is extremely exciting to be watching everyone overcome challenges. The old tune rings true that records are meant to be broken.

This brings us to the question, what is your next challenge? What is your next goal or record to be broken? Sometimes we all need an extra push in achieving our goals. As a team, let's post our personal goals/challenges to comments and help each other in exceeding those goals.

I'm brand new to CF, so I still need to learn/try most of the exercises before setting realistic goals. But I've always stood in awe of anyone who can a free-standing handstand pushup. I can't even do a freestanding handstand, so I'll start with that as goal #1: A freestanding handstand for more than 10 seconds. Eventually the HSPU will be a goal, but you know, baby steps . . . .

Also, for years I've woefully neglected my low back and legs, so squats have been a focus lately. I'm hoping to reach 1.5xBW back squats someday.

Other than that, I'm just anxious to learn more and be challenged. I've only been to 3 classes so far, but it's been great--Pat's advice has been fantastic, watching Barbara lift more weight than she's ever lifted before was awesome, and getting completly whooped by Pete and Sean in "run, burpee, run" was tough but very cool. Hoping I'll meet and get beat by more of you soon.
