Before every workout, I like to do range of motion exercises and a basic warmup. Recently, I have been adding a lot of balance exercises with the bosu balls, stability balls, balance disks, and medicine balls to the warmup. The key is to start with something short and simple, and progressively make the exercises harder and longer until you break a sweat. I find that I will have a lot less problems with the workout if I add this to the warmup.
